Domestic Hot Water

Our DW model is a double wall, vented brazed plate heat exchanger designed to meet local and state plumbing codes for double separation of potable water from boiler water, and other non-potable fluids. 

• As a cost effective, full range heat exchanger, the DW models is a "True" double wall vented design, with double wall plates and double seal fluid ports, both of which have positive leak detection. 
• The DW also has "full thickness" 316L copper brazed plates for longer life and reliability. 
• Highly compact and easy to install. 
• Ideal for new construction or shell-and-tube replacement. 
• UL-Listed, with optional ASME Code.

Three examples of how you can use our DW to provide domestic hot water from various heating sources are:

• Recirculation to a storage tank. Piping for this is shown below.
• Recirculation to a Building Loop.  Not shown below.  Download our product catalog (bottom of this page) for detail.
• Instantaneous hot water.  Increasingly popular. Properly installed, this system does away with hot water storage tanks.
