High rise buildings present a challenge for the HVAC piping systems. The head pressure required to reach the entire height of the building increases the costs to both install and operate the system.

One good solution is to create multiple pressure zones, using gasketed plate heat exchangers. The high efficiency of GEA's heat exchangers (temperature approaches as close as 1°F) maximize system efficiency, while the high design pressures enable each individual heat exchanger to handle as large a zone as possible.
