A success story with tradition
1954 |
Bill Nixon founds company for custom-built heating units for use in process industries. |
1974 |
Chandu Patel is recruited by Nixon as a Chemical Engineer. |
1979 |
Mr. Patel acquires the company from Nixon and arranged to become a licensee for a line of plate heat exchangers and associated technology from the Fayolle family-owned French-based Vicarb. |
1986 |
Chandu sells majority share to Vicarb S.A., but stays on as President and CEO of the new company, Nixon Vicarb. |
1998 |
The Fayolle family sells Vicarb Inc. as part of their worldwide Vicarb group sale. |
2000 |
The new owners of Vicarb close Vicarb Inc. facilities. |
2003 |
Many of the experienced and entrepreneurial management, staff and craftsmen from Vicarb facilities worldwide join ViEX. Company moves to new headquarters in Newmarket, Ontario with new administration and production buildings. |
2008 |
GEA PHE Systems acquires ViEX, manufacturer of fully welded plate heat exchangers. Chandu Patel stays on as a consultant. |
