GP Series
A Giant Leap for Gas-To-Fluid Heat Exchangers
We've combined brazed plate technology with a hybrid louvered fin, to create the GP Series, for use in:
- Cogeneration
- Industrial Boiler Heat Recovery
- Waste Heat Recovery
- Turbo After-coolers
- Gas process applications.
Compared to traditional designs, the GP Series truly represents a new generation of heat exchangers.
Innovative "Plate-and-Fin" Design.
We developed the hybrid fin to be used in a wide range of new product configurations. The Fin in integrally brazed to heat transfer plate surfaces for heat exchangers requiring high gas operating pressures and temperatures up to 1180°F (638°C). The hybrid fin is a "louvered" type, optimized for high heat transfer performance and ultra low pressure drop in both laminar and turbulent flow conditions. The louvers provide lateral shifting of the air flow to increase fin effectiveness, minimize pressure drop and eliminate imbalanced flow conditions with the heat transfer cells.
Other Benefits:
- Easy Inspection and Servicing via the removable core. Large sizes equipped with lifting lugs for the core.
- Versatile Installation. Can be mounted horizontally or vertically with reversible fluid connections and dual drain plugs in shell.
- Simple Connections. Male Pipe Thread connections as standard for the fluid side with a range of optional connections. Gas side connections are flange type as standard with a range of optional connections.
- Quality Design and Construction. Every shell is pressure and leak tested, and every core is pressure tested and helium leak tested. A unique floating core assembly minimizes core and shell thermal stress.
