Free Flow plate heat exchangers by GEA PHE Systems are particularly suited for products containing solids and pulp as well as for highly viscous products. They are distinguished by their
- wide gap cross-section from 5.0 mm up to 12.0 mm
- combination of wide and narrow flow channels within a single unit, depending on the application
- flow channels without metal support point
- profiling structure (waves) that is resistant to clogging
These properties are why they are so well suited for the sugar, paper, food and fruit juice industries. They are also often used in the renewable energy sector.
